A productive online meeting was recently held with Houston Space Center, focusing on aviation and space technology education. The meeting was organized with the goal of supporting the educational quality of Özdemir Bayraktar Aviation and Space Technology High School and Baykar National Technology High School through collaboration with the Space Center.

During the meeting, discussions revolved around student education, teacher training, and sister school partnerships with different countries. The attendees had the opportunity to learn about ongoing collaborations worldwide and shared insights into potential areas of cooperation within Türkiye. A presentation highlighting potential collaboration opportunities specific to Türkiye was also delivered.

In addition, MET-UP (The Vocational and Technical Education Application Platform) was also evaluated during the meeting, showcasing the innovative approach to enhancing vocational and technical education in Türkiye.

One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the commitment to jointly develop a project dossier outlining collaborative initiatives in the field of space technology and aviation education tailored to Türkiye's context. The dossier is expected to detail various projects that can be undertaken together, aimed at enhancing education in these domains. The collaborative efforts are set to culminate in a face-to-face debriefing meeting scheduled for September 15th, where further plans and strategies will be discussed.

"We are excited about the prospects of this collaboration with Houston Space Center," said Ali Kılıçlıoğlu, the Education Attaché of Türkiye in Houston. "Our aim is to enrich the educational experience of our students and educators in the field of aviation and space technology."

Looking forward, both parties are enthusiastic about the potential projects that will be jointly developed by October. The collaborative efforts are anticipated to contribute significantly to advancing aviation and space technology education in Türkiye.
