The Education Attaché Office of Türkiye in Houston, in collaboration with Briargrove Elementary School, is excited to announce the launch of the Dreams Go Pixel project. This innovative initiative, supported by the City of Lake Jackson, transforms children's drawings created for 23 Nisan National Sovereignty and Children's Day into augmented reality (AR) masterpieces. The project gives their visions a digital life, enhancing the message of peace, unity, and children's rights on a global platform.

The Dreams Go Pixel project draws inspiration from Türkiye's founding father, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who dedicated April 23rd to the world's children. For this occasion, students at Briargrove Elementary were invited to reflect on key themes like peace, brotherhood, respect for children's rights, and hope for the future. Their colorful, creative artworks capture these themes.

Transforming Art Through Technology

In collaboration with MEKTEP-360, children's drawings are animated using AR technology, bringing their creative visions to life. By scanning these illustrations with their smartphones, viewers can engage with interactive digital experiences where the students' artistic expressions come alive. These artworks are also featured on the new website, DreamsGoPixel.com, allowing a global audience to experience the children's creative interpretations in a unique and dynamic way.

"By combining art and technology, Dreams Go Pixel offers a fresh perspective on children's creativity and amplifies their messages of peace and hope," said Ali Kılıçlıoğlu, Education Attaché at the Turkish Consulate General in Houston. "This initiative not only showcases the brilliant imaginations of our children but also underlines the importance of global unity and understanding through cultural and artistic exchange."
